Boozhoo!

Well, since this is my first post on this blog, I decided that I would introduce myself a bit and tell you what I want this blog to be about.

First off, Boozhoo is Ojibwe for "Greetings!" My Fiance, S, is half Ojibwe Indian. So, I have been trying to learn some of his language to help me to better communicate with him, when I need for only him to understand me. It's sort of like our own language, but, alot of people know it. We don't live close to the reservation that he grew up on. We live in North Carolina for right now. He is from Minnesota, and I am from Ohio.

How did we get to North Carolina you ask? Well, he is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps. He is due to be out soon. We are awaiting that time so we can move on with life "in the real world." I can say that the Marine Corps has taught me some valuable lessons about life. One of which is how to be more adult about things. You never know how long you have with someone.

Together S and I have 3 children. He has a little girl, and I have both a boy and a girl. His girl and my boy are the same age. She lives with her mother. We have talked about bringing her out to live with us when he gets out of the Corp, but have no set plans for anything like that.

I don't want to bore you too much on my first post! I hope to have a few readers.
